Vote for Versus The Universe to Play the Warped Tour

As all of you know, VTU loves putting on shows for you guys.  With that said, we want to put on a show for you at the biggest summer festival coming through the area this year!  That’s right… I’m talking about the Warped Tour!

We are currently involved in an online Battle of the Bands to make it on this show. This is where all of you come in.. Shows at Gil’s

Not only are we headlining at Gil’s this Friday with Revery, City Voices and The Gloom, but we will also be on March 26th. Same bat time, same bat channel, but with Flies with Honey, Chasing Dead Lions and Ignore the Sun.

February Shows

Two shows this month mark Versus the Universe’s return to the stage in 2010. Come out on the 19th to the Regal Beagle Taphouse (36 beers on tap) at the oceanfront, and to Gil’s Bar and Grill at Holland and Shipps Corner on the 26th. Where we will be playing with The Gloom, City Voices and Revery. Both shows are $5 at the door. Check out our show fliers for more details.

Yet another good show!

Thanks to everyone that made it out to Frankie’s Place last night and rocked with us till the wee hours.  We had a fun time playing for you as we always do!

We’d also like to send a thank you out to Frankie’s Place for recently starting to have shows at their establishment, and giving love to the local music scene.  It’s a great room to play and we really hope to play there again and see more shows there in the future.  Special thanks to everyone that came up and jammed with us while played.  Grey, we love having you up there with us anytime…  And to the gentleman that came up and played hand drums with us, thank you very much.  We don’t usually do spontaneous jams live, and last night was awesome.

We hope everyone can make it out to our next show on August 29th!

Show this Friday July 10th at Parlays

Versus the Universe will rock Parlays Sports Bar at the Oceanfront this Friday starting at 9:00 PM. Come see Nick and Zach display their awesomeness to the world. Watch as Travis attempts to make the bar cry with his emo lyrics (to non-emo songs.) And see Kevin and Muj play guitar!

Thanks For Last Night

We’d like to thank everyone that made it out to Gil’s last night for the birthday bash.  We had a blast, and it was by far one of the best shows at Gil’s we’ve ever been a part of!  We also want to again thank Gil for inviting us to be on what was one hell of a local line up featuring Revery, New Skin and Jam Pain Society.  We packed the place out from start to finish.

That brings us to our next show happening this Friday, June 26th, at Hell’s Kitchen in Norfolk.  As you know, we are releasing our debut CD called The Tragic Life of Karl Korbin.  We will have the CD’s there for sale, so everyone should make it there.  It will be a kick ass show featuring all of our original material and our favorite songs and maybe a few special guests.  We can’t wait to get the CD in to your hands.  We will see you on Friday!

Major VTU Updates!

Welcome to the summer of VTU! Our much talked about and long awaited debut album is only two weeks away from release! Because we love you long time, we are letting all of you preview the album right here! So come by the myspace, and listen to our tunes. Be sure to let us know what you think!

In the mean time, we are gearing up for Gil’s birthday party on June 20th at Gil’s Bar and Grill. Come out to that show and party with us and wish Gil a happy birthday (and Strange too)!

The following week, join us for a big ass party at Hell’s Kitchen in Norfolk to celebrate (and purchase) the new VTU album, “The Tragic Life of Karl Korbin”. It will be the only way to find out just who the hell Karl Korbin is!
